Neon Shoot
Sent a request on models for a neon shoot that I will be doing starting from the 5th March. Was impressed with the amount of interest.
I have one confirmed model for the 5th and will be using my parents summer house as the venue.
Will order the stock from this site http://www.glow.co.uk/uv-face-body-paint.html

Moved over to Blogger for Blog hosting
I have moved over to blogger for the blog as the one.com blog did not allow any links or adding of gadgets.
Below is what was posted on the old blog -
This blog will be an interactive place where I put my ideas, notes on shoots and hopefully get some feedback. Feel free to comment, I promise not to bite.

Above is the new logo, I will be updating the website with this logo shortly. I have also looked at Vistaprint for marketing material and will be looking at getting t-shirts, pens, labels and new business cards printed.
On Saturday 22nd January had a great party shoot at Studio 3 in Maidstone. The four girls were all great posers and have produced some stunning photos. I will upload some of these as soon as the photobooks are completed for the client.

After speaking to several friends I have decided to go for the first logo and given the designer the go ahead to proceed.
Once this is done I will start working on updating the website and getting business cards etc.
Have a child party shoot on the Saturday 22nd and model shoot on Sunday 23rd so new photos will be uploaded then.
The designer has sent some more logos through and must admit I love the first one. Have sent it to Ali, Rich, Sarella, Liz and Carol to see which ones they prefer.

I have decided to refresh my website and marketing material with a new logo. I have got professional designers working on one for me and this will then be used on this website, business cards, t-shirts.
I am also getting the web gallery sorted out where a client can enter their username/ password and then preview the photos and purchase if required.
There will also be an art gallery where prints can be purchased in a variety of formats.
Watch this space!
Below are some images from the photoshoot in December that I did with Louise. It was a very cold day and Louise was a trooper posing in t-shirts and dresses half freezing to death.
For this shoot I exlusively used the Nikkor F/1.8 50mm prime lens. This was mainly so I can have clear crisp images with a shallow depth of field and also to make me frame my photos by moving around and thinking about it. It is very easy to get lazy with a zoom lens and found this session to be very useful.
The first four photos were taken in Warmlake Road, Chart Sutton. It was amusing due to this road normally being very quiet. On the day of the shoot I had never seen so many cars and dog walkers. The next one with the cross was done at The Priory in Aylesford. I would loved to of done a shot with Louise on the altar but didnt think that would be appreciated by the friars.
The last two were done in Cobtree Park. This was challenging with the changing light but the woods made a nice backdrop and gave a dreamy feel to the photos.
I will post more over the coming days.

I am exhibiting at the Kingswood Primary School Fete tomorrow at 12-3pm. I will be show casing some of my pictures and Alisons. They can be purchased for £5 for A5 and £10 for A4 which will professionally printed and posted.
I will also be advertising for family portraits which can be booked for a deposit of £10.
Today I have also sent off the application form for starting a BSc(Honours) Photography with the Open College of Arts. Going to be hard work but will hopefully reap dividends.
At last managed to find a way of the site looking ok in IE but had to add CSS nesting in each page. Will look for a better way but it works for now. Will let the Facebook world know about the new site and see what sort of comments I get, gulp!
Hi all, I say all, not sure how many people out there actually look at my website.
It has changed a lot from the original one which I used Clikpic for. This one is hand coded using notepad, and has involved a lot of experimentation, frustration and fun.
It will be improved continually as my skills with xhtml, css, javascript and the like improve. My biggest frustration at the moment though is trying to get the menu hyperlinks to work on internet explorer. They work fine on Google Chrome, Safari and Mozilla Firefox but not IE. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Photographically, I will be concentrating on taking more pictures for my website.
If anybody would be willing for their photo to appear on my website, for a small £10 contribution towards the hire of a local studio, you can have a full hours photoshoot with a print of your choice. This is a time limited offer on a first come, first served basis.
More blogs to follow shortly.
